The following is a suggested framework for organizing terms related to adult education. This grew out of work completed by the Syracuse University Kellogg Project.

          approval.   Recognition of such as maintaining standards for
          offering credit for courses and certification for training.

04  ADMINISTRATION (Resources in this category) pertain to the organization,
          agencies and programs.

12  AGENCIES (Resources in this category) pertain to an administrative
          establishment which sponsors and acts for specific organizations
          concerned with adult and continuing education.

16  COMMUNICATIONS (Resources in this category) pertain to methods and
          techniques of information dissemination.

20  COMPARATIVE (Resources in this category) pertain to comparative studies
          in adult education at both national and international levels.

24  COUNSELING (Resources in this category) pertain to methods and techniques
          of professional guidance for adults by continuing education
          personnel and staff.   Included are methods and instructions
          for testing and evaluation.

28  EVALUATION (Resources in this category) pertain to methods and techniques
          to determine significance or worth of adult and continuing education
          programs.

          capital resources and budgeting of adult and continuing education

         and evaluation.  Also included are the principles and procedures

         by adult and continuing education personnel.

         retention and characteristics of adult students.
