Visiting Scholar Conference in History

The first Kellogg Project History Conference was held at the University Sheraton Inn from March 8-10, 1989. Conference goals included the following: (a) building a network of scholars interested in adult education history, (b) increasing awareness of the adult education archives at Syracuse University, (c) acting as a catalyst for future adult education historical research, and (d) fostering inter-disciplinary exchanges related to adult education history.

Documentation Strategy Symposium

The second Documentation Strategy Symposium took place August 2-3, 1990. A documentation strategy is a cooperative plan to document the activities of a field or discipline within prescribed limits--historical, ideological, geographical, etc. Its purpose is to insure comprehensive documentation of a field or discipline to better understand its social significance. This symposium is a continuation of discussion, planning, and networking efforts.
