My wife, Janet (sitting next to me), retired in September, 2000. She is enjoying retirement and having time to do many things, including reading, various physical activities, volunteering, and her many hand crafts. She keeps fit by walking, regular excercise at a health club, and cross-country skiing in the winter. As a matter of fact, I think she would cross-country ski every day if she could.
My daughter, Nancy (standing and holding little Saskia), is an Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University. She and her husband Sean Bowditch (he is standing to her left and works at WNYC in Manhattan) have two children: a son Kian (sitting on my lap) and a daughter Saskia. My son, David, works for Ingersol Rand. His wife, Rachel, works for Craftsy.com in Denver. They have a son, Riley (sitting on Janet's knee). Am I a proud papa and grandfather or what?
