Michigan, son of Claude (a farmer and milk hauler) and Frances Anson Hiemstra
(a school cafeteria worker). Married Janet Louise Wemer (a teacher and program
administrator), 1968-06-23. Children--Nancy Ann and David John. Currently
on the faculty in Adult Education at Elmira College. Active with barbershop
