Born in Pedricktown, NY.  Married to Norejane Johnston, 1953; one daughter.  Received the Distinguished Service Award of the Ohio Association for Adult Education in 1960.  A member of the Technical Committee on Training, White House Conference on Aging, Washington, DC, 1971.  Member, Executive Committee of Adult Education Association [AEA-USA], 1954-56.
